Anti-depressant?
Amphetamines are normally considered as the last option to cure or control a type of depression which is treatment-resistant and since Vyvanse is a pro-drug of Amphetamines it can also be used for such medical purpose. The medication can have the same effect as anti-depressants do and can work to treat depression.
The critical neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine are responsible for the control of mood and behaviour. Depression happens when fluctuation or imbalance of these neurotransmitters take place, such as when the dopamine levels lower down. The medication works by fixing this irregularity and manipulating the functions of these chemicals. As a result the incapacity of the person to find pleasure in activities that used to be desirable will be reversed and the individual will have improvements in his mood and behaviour.
Although Vyvanse is not really a common and popular treatment for the psychological condition it can provide the same effect just like other anti-depressants. It is necessary that the dose of the drug in treating the condition should be continually and gradually increased to keep up with the tolerance. However, you need to be very careful about using the drug and be mindful about any changes that may take place during medication.
